Our paper "Cloud storage pricing: a comparison of current practices" has been accepted for presentation at the next Hot Topics in Cloud Services ( HotTopiCS 2013) workshop, associated to the 4th ACM/SPEC International Conference on Performance Engineering ( ICPE 2013), to be held in Prague, on April 21-24, 2013.
We compare the pricing plans of major cloud storage providers, by applying a two-part tariff approximation and the Pareto dominance principle, which allows us to easily identify and reject the pricing plans that are dominated by at least another pricing plan (i.e., worse for any storage volume). This can ease procurement scouting and help reveal major differences among cloud storage pricing plans.
